Uganda Development Bank through the START Facility implemented by UNCDF: With funds from the European Union, The START Facility being implemented by UNCDF and the Uganda Development have financed the acquisition of the processing machinery (Peeler, grater, dryer and Miller) as well as a 10ton truck to enable LIMA farm pick raw materials from out-growers.
Kyeema Foundation: To support build a community of Out-growers, LIMA farm received a small grant from an Australian Foundation Kyeema to procure seeds and tractor tilling services for the community. Through this grant, we have established a total of 150 Out-growers in Oroko Village and Palabek- Paluda. These out-growers have a current acrages of 100 and we expect this to be tripled next year after the first harvest. LIMA farm is providing ready market for the cassava that the out-growers are producing.
